Newsbrief: As part of Unity Technology's recent push into the real-money gambling market, the game engine provider today signed deals with a couple of large casino-management companies. SHFL entertainment and Bally Technologies, both notable presences in the gambling industry, have now been given the go-ahead to build electronic casino games and slot machines that utilize the Unity engine. Unity originally noted its interest in moving into the gambling space late last year, as the company introduced a provision into its EULA that meant real-money gambling companies must work directly with the engine-provider.
