After a brief delay, Portal 2 publisher Valve has announced that the popular first-person puzzle platformer's first content update will be released next week. The content pack, called Portal 2: Peer Review, will roll out on Steam, Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network starting October 4. As previously promised, the update will be free. According to Valve, Peer Review will continue the story from the game's co-op campaign, starring robots P-Body and Atlas. In addition, the DLC also includes a single player and co-op challenge mode, with suitable leaderboards. Free DLC for the game was announced soon after Portal 2's release, and was at the time slated for summer. The game has seen new content released in the past, though the update was exclusive to owners of Razer's motion-sensing Hydro controllers.
