Riot Games has officially confirmed that 2XKO will enter Closed Beta on September 9th, exclusively for Windows PC. After months of silence following earlier alpha tests, fans finally have a firm date to mark on the calendar to get their hands on the game.
In crazy twist Riot also revealed that once the Closed Beta starts, the servers will remain online indefinitely (aside from scheduled maintenance). This represents a pivotal moment in the development cycle, as Riot scales up backend infrastructure to support a broader player base.
Although Closed Beta is PC-only for now, players won’t be locked in. Riot has confirmed cross-platform progression, meaning any progress made during the beta will carry over to console versions when they go live.
Players who participated in the Alpha Lab 1 or 2 on PC are automatically granted access to the Closed Beta. Console players from previous tests will also be included, gaining access via the Riot Client on PC.
If you're attending Evo 2025 (August 1st–3rd), Riot will be there with a full 2XKO booth, including a few different things for fans:
- A playable demo
- Livestreams and live showcases
- Exclusive prizes
- Special previews of upcoming content
Riot also confirmed that a "Know Before You Go" guide will be released soon, giving attendees all of the knowledge that they will need to navigate the booth experience and try out the new fighting game.
