Newsbrief: VR Samples have been added to Unity 5.3, released today, to help budding virtual reality developers get to grips with the new tech.

The samples, designed to teach devs the basics so they can start working in virtual reality, include a cinema curved-display style menu, as well as four different mini-games featuring three distinct approaches to gameplay and player input.

The project is backed up by a number of articles offering advice for beginners looking to start dabbling in VR development.

Unity currently supports a number of VR devices, such as the Oculus Rift, the recently released Samsung Gear VR, and Sony's PlayStation VR headset.
