Earlier today, Microsoft shared gameplay trailers for some of the games that will be released for the Xbox Series X — giving players an idea of what to expect from the developer's powerful next-gen console.
Bandai Namco took the opportunity to introduce players to a brand-new intellectual property in the form of Scarlet Nexus, which has been confirmed to release for both the current Xbox One and upcoming Xbox Series X.
Scarlet Nexus is described as an action/adventure title that will see players taking control of a character named Yuito Sumeragi — who is a new recruit to an organisation called Other Supression Force, which is humanity's last line of defence against vicious mutants called Others.
What makes this particular protagonist interesting is the fact that he has acute extra-sensory abilities — gifted individuals that the game refers to as psionics — that have the ability to use psycho-kinesis to defeat their enemies.
Scarlet Nexus is really an interesting concept, but what really sells the game is its gameplay, and the trailer does a pretty good job showing off how action-packed the game will be; something that has become somewhat of a staple in Bandai Namco Studios-developed games.

The bad news is that the developers have yet to give us an official release date for Scarlet Nexus, but it is very likely that we will be getting more information about this action-adventure title in June. With that said, this could be an Xbox Series X launch title, but we'll have to wait for more information.
