WOLVERINE Insomniac Video Game Will Have "Hard M" Rating; Could Be Coming Earlier Than Expected

Logan fans have been clamoring for a new video game featuring the iconic mutant for many years, and back in 2021, we got the news that Insomniac (the studio behind the acclaimed Spider-Man games) was in the process of developing Marvel's Wolverine.

Aside from a brief announcement teaser and a few rumors, solid updates have been few and far between, but we finally have some exciting new details to share courtesy of Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb.

In the latest episode of Game Mess Mornings, Grubb said he'd heard that Marvel's Wolverine could hit shelves as soon as Fall 2024, but acknowledged that there's a pretty good chance the game will ultimately be pushed back until 2025.

Insomniac are releasing Marvel's Spider-Man 2 this year, so we'd say Wolverine being ready by 2024 might be wishful thinking, but we'll keep our claws crossed!

Grubb also confirmed that the game will have a "hard" M-rating, and while it "probably won't be full open-world" like the Spider-Man games, it will most likely have "open sections of a world similar to other, major Sony games."
