Its time for racing fans to gear up and prepare for this September, as it brings with it the upcoming release of WRC 9. Nacon and their development team KT Racing's upcoming title will not only bring players back into the action, but it will take them to the destination of New Zealand for the Rally.
For those unfamiliar, WRC 9 is the official video game of the FIA World Championship. From the trailer below, it is easily seen that KT Racing has been hard at work to recreate New Zealand as it makes its return to the FIA World Rally Championship after seven years of absence.
This title will allow players to explore the heart of North Ireland and face challenges in the wild lands and coastline of Auckland. The lead level designer from KT Racing spoke out regarding WRC 9, and this is what he had to say.

“Roads in New-Zealand are amongst the most beautiful and the most appreciated in the Championship’s history. Famous for its fast chains of turns and a sustained pace rhythm, along with breath-taking landscapes, Rally New-Zealand truly offers a particular experience. A long preparation work allowed us to replicate, as closely as possible, the luxuriant vegetation, the light and unique ocean views, as well as the road’s topography and surfaces, mainly composed of gravel. We’re convinced that players will enjoy taking up this challenge as much as we did in WRC 9.” -- Benoît Gomes, Lead Level Designer, KT Racing.

In the brand-new New Zealand Rally, players will face a tough challenge along the rugged coastline and wild lands around Auckland in the heart of the North Island.
WRC 9 will release on September 3rd on Xbox One, PS4, Epic Games Store, and at a later date on Xbox Series X and PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
