A few years ago, if you would've told anyone that the Yakuza series would be releasing for an Xbox console you probably would've been laughed at. The Yakuza series has remained, almost for its entirety, a PlayStation series exclusive — although in recent years, the games have been ported to other consoles.
Earlier in 2019, Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku released Yakuza Kiwami on Steam, which is a remake of the first game in the series. Eventually, Steam also got the game's direct sequel; further proving that even more games in the critically acclaimed series would be released along the way.
Just a few weeks ago, Sega surprised us all by revealing that Yakuza Kiwami was also going to be making its way into the Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, and Windows 10, and today the game has finally become available; again, as unbelievable as it may sound.
As Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku celebrate the launch of Yakuza Kiwami, the developers have shared an action-packed accolades trailer in order to let Xbox players know that the game has finally arrived; introducing them to a series that deserves everyone's undying attention.
