Newsbrief: Zynga co-founder Justin Waldron has left the social game company to pursue new opportunities.

"I've decided it's time to leave Zynga and venture off on my own again," he wrote in a Facebook post yesterday. "It's been six-and-a half years since we pushed the button to launch our first game, and each moment since has been magic."

Waldron who's in his 20s, was one of a handful of people who founded Zynga alongside former CEO Mark Pincus. Waldron was originally lead engineer on Zynga Poker.

His move comes a few months after Zynga hired on former Xbox boss Don Mattrick as CEO of the company. Pincus subsequently moved into a new role as chairperson.
