Over the past few months, we've seen many of Zynga's top employees resign from their posts, and that trend continued today as two more executives stepped down from the social game giant. This time, the company has lost Allan Leinwand, its CTO of infrastructure, and Jeff Karp, its chief marketing and revenue officer. These two executives join other recent resignees such as COO John Schappert, CityVille general manager Alan Patmore, chief creative officer Mike Verdu, and vice presidents Bill Mooney and Brian Birtwistle, among others. Many of these employees left the company within the last several months, after Zynga disappointed Wall Street with a lower-than-expected second quarter. The company's stock price has struggled to recover since, and as of press time sits at roughly $2.82 per share, just above its 52-week low of $2.66. Last month, Bloomberg reported that Zynga has been handing out stock options to prevent its full time employees from jumping ship. As for the two employees who resigned today, tech blog GigaOm claims that Leinwand will join the IT firm ServiceNow, while AllThingsD reports that Karp will remain with Zynga in a non-officer capacity for a few more weeks as he transitions out of his former role.
