Zynga's Bubble Safari now one of Facebook's most popular games

[Every other week, Gamasutra examines the most popular Facebook games according to monthly active users, looking at the top titles and developers on the social network to see who's attracting or losing players.] Zynga has managed to dominate another game-type on Facebook: the bubble-based puzzler, which owes its design to Taito's beloved Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble series. Debuted just a little over a month ago, Bubble Safari is already the fifth most popular game on the social network with 21.5 million monthly users, and it's likely to rise up even higher soon. It's audience is already bigger than King.com's Bubble Witch Saga, which was one of the first games of this type that found success on Facebook, and was previously the most popular bubble puzzler there. Bubble Safari is also far ahead of other similar titles like Wooga's Bubble Island, Peak's Lost Bubble, PlayQ's Bubble Blitz, and Cookapps' Buggle. The rest of the top ten games on Facebook are all familiar faces, like Zynga's Texas HoldEm Poker, CityVille, Draw Something, FarmVille, CastleVille and Hidden Chronicles. This is the first time in more than a year that any game has had more monthly users than CityVille!
