All the staff at Gamasutra and its sister sites would like to wish our readership a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year -- from the leading websites dedicated to both the art and business of games. For the 2010 holiday season, Gamasutra will be running on a reduced schedule until January 3rd. But we'll still be bringing you any major breaking news, as well as bonus end of year in-depth features, charts and analysis through this and next week, including some Xmas Eve and New Year's Eve updates. However, for those of you receiving the Gamasutra newsletter, it will be on hiatus from December 24th through January 3rd. Nonetheless, we'll be continuing our Top 5/Top 10 charts for the year on the site -- with Unexpected Events, Downloadable Games, Social Network Games, and Mobile Games still to come, plus a feature-based roundup. Many of our sister Gamasutra Network websites will be updating -- albeit on a somewhat reduced schedule -- throughout the holiday season, including the following sites: - IndieGames.com: The Weblog (for independent game creators) - GamerBytes (for digitally downloaded console and handheld games) - FingerGaming (for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch gaming information) - Game Set Watch (the Network's alt.game weblog) - WorldsInMotion.biz (discussing the business of social gaming and online worlds) - Game Career Guide (for those wanting to get into the game industry and game education in general.) The management of Gamasutra would like to thank all of our readers, advertisers and job posters and respondents for their patronage throughout the year. Thanks for following us on Twitter, on RSS, and on Facebook -- we appreciate the support. We look forward to serving you again in 2010 with the best industry news, design and technical discussions, and investigative reports into the state of the video game business. [Thanks to Futurama for the holiday image.]
