A brand-new artwork by veteran Mega Man series illustrator Keisuke Mizuno was recently shared by Mega Man series Producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya via Capcom's official Rockman unity Twitter account, and fans are already speculating about it being a hint that a new game could be in the works at Capcom.
The illustration per se is an unfinished drawing of Zero from the classic Mega Man X series, and Zero from the Mega Man Zero spin-off series with the word "Warning" right in the middle, which makes allusion to the intros before the player faces off against the stages' enemies.
With Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection releasing in February of next year, this could well be an illustration part of the game's marketing ahead of its release.
Producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya doesn't tell us what the illustration is from; telling fans to "please wait for details from the official community!" with Rockman Unity's Takekuni Uchida(Ucchy) stating that "where the finished version will be released will be revealed at a later date!"
Again, this new illustration could be part of the upcoming Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, but the inclusion of Zero from the Mega Man X series has fans wondering if this is finally the first hint that Capcom is finally working on the long-awaited Mega Man X9. We'll just have to cross our fingers and patiently wait for the developer to reveal more information.
