The Sega Ages lineup of games is getting two iconic titles from the golden era of video game consoles — more specifically Sega's golden era — as the fan-favourite Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the cult classic Puyo Puyo 2 have just become available today for the Nintendo Switch.
A total of 16 titles have already been added to the Sega Ages lineup of games, with some critically acclaimed, and beloved titles like the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Virtua Racing, Phantasy Star, and now Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Puyo Puyo 2.
Perhaps what's even more interesting is the fact that Sega decided to go the extra mile and also included Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as part of the base Sonic the Hedgehog 2 game — which is not really a feature present in the original game; at least not via conventional methods.
With the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Puyo Puyo 2, Sega shared a new trailer that shows off both of these iconic, and classic titles so fans know exactly what to expect once they purchase them from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
