Sony's Shuhei Yoshida Addresses What Microsoft's Phil Spencer Said About Virtual Reality
Yesterday, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer made some comments about virtual reality and it not being the focus of their new Xbox console, Project Scarlett, also revealing that he, himself, had some issues with VR as a whole.

Spencer also mentioned that VR devices are not being sold in huge quantities because that's simply not what the vast majority of customers want. While this may sound drastic, Spencer doesn't think VR is off the table; it just isn't what they want to focus on at the moment.

President of Sony Interactive Entertainment  Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has actually addressed Spencer's comments, by stating that they "oftentimes work hard to make things that no customers are asking for them."

While it may be true that giving customers something they didn't even know they wanted, or needed, is part of being innovative, the point that Phil Spencer makes is still very valid, since it is best that Microsoft focuses on offering a solid lineup of games to players instead of focusing on too many things at once.
