The Live-Action MEGA MAN Movie Finds Its Writer In THE BATMAN Co-Writer Mattson Tomlin
In October of 2018, Capcom Japan announced that a live-action Mega Man movie was currently in the works; revealing that Heroes actor Masi Oka and 20th Century Fox would be producing the film, and that it would be penned by Paranormal Activity 3's Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman.

More information about the project was not revealed, but it was more than enough to make some fans of the Blue Bomber excited for the announcement; or worried, considering Capcom's track record with video game movie adaptations.

For the longest time the Mega Man movie was actually thought to have been canned — especially after 20th Century Fox was acquired by Disney, and chances of the movie being scrapped were pretty high; considering that there were absolutely no news about it, this was likely the case.

Today, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the Mega Man live-action movie is now being penned by The Batman movie co-writer Mattson Tomlin, although further information about the movie itself was not shared, but this is still a good sign that the film is still being produced.

Mattson Tomlin has only been credited for two movies — Little Fish and The Batman — but none of the movies have released yet, so we don't really have any references in regards to his work just yet. With that said, if he was considered to co-write The Batman alongside Matt Reeves, it's more than likely that he's quite the talented writer.
