BBC Worldwide details Labs, a start-up mentoring initiative

Newsbrief: The BBC has launched a programme to help a number of start-ups gain traction through free office space and working closely with experts, with gaming, web and mobile companies able to take advantage of the initiative. BBC Worldwide's Labs will launch the six month scheme later this year, and starts accepting submissions from June 22. Potential participants must be based in the UK, and five start-ups in total will be accepting into Labs. BBC Worldwide was keen to stress that it is investing time, mentors and office space into the selected companies, but is not investing funds or taking an equity stake. Interested parties can visit the official website for more information.
