Nordcurrent Labs has just released on PC a new isometric, narrative-driven stealth game, called Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream. This game has received some solid reviews from the press. Not only that, but there is a demo you can download and try.
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream is using Unreal Engine 5 and has some amazing cut-scenes. This is something you wouldn’t expect to see in an isometric game. But thanks to UE5, small teams are now able to create cinematics that can match those of other triple-A titles.
In this game, you play as Hanna. Hanna will go on a big adventure through Eriksholm to find her missing brother and figure out what happened to him. You’ll explore cool locations and follow an exciting story as Hanna tries to bring her family back together.
You can also switch between three different characters. Each one has their own special abilities. You’ll use these skills to get into new areas, solve puzzles, and deal with enemies in smart ways.
Since this is a stealth game, you’ll need to stay hidden. You can watch how guards move, use the environment to your advantage, and find smart ways to sneak past obstacles. Use cover, stay quiet, and create distractions to avoid being seen.
To run the game, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 or AMD Radeon RX 580. The devs recommend using an Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.
You can go ahead and download the demo from this link.
If you are a fan of the stealth genre, you should definitely check it out. After all, we rarely get any stealth games these days. So, don’t sleep on it. This could very well be the “Clair Obscur” for isometric stealth games.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
