ESA estimates 45,700 visitors for E3 2012

Newsbrief: Around 45,700 video game industry professionals visited E3 in Los Angeles this year, generating nearly $40 million in revenue for the city in total. The ESA, the organiser of the show, said that around 200 exhibitors showcased video game hardware and software. The company is set to announce the dates for next year's show later this month, and will also reveal whether the next show will be held somewhere other than L.A.
