Newsbrief: Nintendo revealed at the weekend that the Nintendo 3DS will receive a side-scrolling sequel to the DS's best-selling New Super Mario Bros. later this year. As part of its Nintendo Direct broadcast, president Satoru Iwata made a number of game announcements for the DS and the 3DS, noting that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will release for 3DS worldwide in August, while also stating that a couple of Pokemon eShop games will be released for 3DS in the run up to Pokemon Black and White 2. The Nintendo 3DS will also receive a system update later this week, as folder functionality will be added to the main menu, allowing users to organise games into different categories.
