The Playstation 5 has gone down as one of the most anticipated console releases in the past 2 decades while also having one of the worst pre-order launches ever.
However, that hasn't stopped longtime Sony fans from ensuring they can secure a copy on its November 12th release date.
Sadly, with limited quantities being manufactured, it has been shaping up to be a mini Black Friday, and gamers have been trying their best to secure the latest additions in the console wars.
With the demand so high during a pandemic, the companies that will be distributing the consoles have figured out a pretty simple way for buyers to secure a copy of the console.
According to a recent post on Playstation.Blog all participating retailers will be selling their consoles online only for either in-store pickup or to be sent to them.
While this minimizes the crowds, this does open up a lot of risk factors in terms of bots and scalpers who want to buy multiple and sell at a higher price.
There is no set time that the consoles will go live but make sure to stay tuned for further updates!
We would love to hear your thoughts on the is news in the comments below!
Update: All PS5 console sales on launch day, November 12 or November 19 depending on your region, will be online-only.
