According to information revealed by SNK, Samurai Shodown's Season Pass 2 for the PlayStation 4 was only released in North America on the 26th, although European players will have to wait a little bit longer for the character to become available.
The developer informed that Mina Majikina is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in North America — as of today, in fact — and in Europe with the exception of the PlayStation 4 version. According to SNK, European PlayStation 4 players will have to wait until the 2nd of March for Mina Majikina to finally become available.
With the announcement, SNK also took the opportunity to apologise to European PlayStation 4 players for the inconvenience, revealing also that those who decide to purchase the character individually will get "the same overall offer and price as other regions," and that they are working on a way to balance out the price of the Season Pass 2 if players purchase Mina even when they've already purchased the game's Season 2.
We regret to inform our fans that Season Pass 2 for PS4 #SAMURAISHODOWN will not be available when MINA releases for NA/EU regions. We apologize for the inconvenience, and will make sure that NA/EU users who purchase MINA will get the same overall offer and price as other regions pic.twitter.com/ohPV0fAsL3

We're working on a solution that will give players the same value as the season pass offers. So yes buying Mina today absolutely factors into that.
