The Mandalorian is a live-action Star Wars series that recently debuted on Disney's streaming service — Disney+. Season 2 is currently in the works.
Recently, a fan reached out to Janina Gavankar on social media. Gavankar played the lead character in the campaign mode of Star Wars Battlefront II. Iden Versio begins as the leader of Inferno Squad (a Special Forces division of the Empire). SPOILERS (for Star Wars Battlefront II): However, Iden ends up a member of the Rebellion by the end of the story.
Over on Twitter, Gavankar was asked whether she will feature in the second season of The Mandalorian. Her character was certainly alive during the events of The Mandalorian. This fan even found an image of a supposed cast list in which Gavankar is listed.
Rather than outright deny the possibility; the actress teased that fans would have to reach out to Dave Filoni (an executive producer and director of The Mandalorian). You can check out her tweet below (via @Janina):
It would definitely be great to see some sort of tie-in between the recent Star Wars video games and shows given that they all take place within the same canon. The Mandalorian is certainly open to featuring elements from other media as the first season featured quite a few things that fans of the Star Wars animated series would be familiar with.
