Zynga launches second match-3 game in as many months

Newsbrief: Social and mobile games company Zynga will release its next title, a match-3 game called Ruby Blast, later this week via Facebook and Zynga.com, marking the first collaboration between Zynga Seattle and Zynga China. The game is the second match-3 title from the social games giant in as many months, as it launched Bubble Safari in May. Design director Jonathan Grant told Inside Social Games that the game has been designed to encourage competition between online friends. Although Zynga has suffered a significant drop in daily active users over recent months, analysts believe that it will overcome its recent user declines and rebound to a strong financial performance in the second half of the current fiscal year.
