Games publisher Aspyr Media announced that it has established a partnership with Kaplan Test Prep to bring the SAT preparation game futureU to iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad platforms. Previously released for the Nintendo DS and PCs, Aspyr's futureU: The Prep Game for SAT includes a number of study-focused minigames aimed at students preparing for standardized college admissions tests. Each segment in the game's Reading, Writing, and Math categories is based on previously published Kaplan Test Prep content and teaching methodologies. "As the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch play an increasing role in how students receive their information, it made sense for us to expand the futureU SAT test prep game to this mobile platform," said Kaplan's Executive Director of Pre-College Programs Kristen Campbell "Aspyr's ability to deliver engaging games to students across multiple-platforms has enabled us to bring futureU to a new audience of SAT preppers." National Heritage Academies' Chief Information Officer Dr. David Palumbo adds: "futureU provides an outstanding complement to students' traditional preparation for the SAT. Harnessing clever, interactive elements on the iPad touch screen interface, this first class app gives high school students an engaging, game-like experience, while focusing on developing the strong underlying knowledge and skills to succeed in the college admission process." futureU is available a universal application for all iOS platforms; the core version can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store. Four extended study levels are available for $1.99 each.
