Microids has announced Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon, a new action platformer that is coming to PC on October 30th. To celebrate this announcement, the team shared its first details and a teaser trailer for it. So, let’s take a closer look.
In Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon, players will go on a fun and exciting adventure full of jokes, big fights, and cool characters. Asterix and Obelix will have to rescue Monipehni, the King of the Parthians, who has been poisoned by Bahmbuhzeli, a sneaky sorcerer who is working with Caesar. Along the way, they must find the ingredients to make the cure. They’ll also fight tough Roman soldiers and help villagers in strange and magical places.
The game will have four stunning worlds to explore, each with its own iconic settings and landmarks. You’ll find an exclusive new destination: the legendary city of Babylon.
It’s also worth noting that Asterix & Obelix: Mission Babylon will support co-op play. As such, you will be able to replay all twenty levels with a friend. You’ll also face off against massive bosses and send Romans flying in spectacular, fast-paced battles.
In a way, this new Asterix game reminds me of Konami’s arcade Asterix and Obelix game. I was a big fan of that arcade game. So, I hope the hit reaction and character animations of this new 3D title will be as polished as those we got in 1992.
