Electronic Arts and DICE have revealed the official PC system requirements for the new BF game, Battlefield 6. Moreover, EA shared three new trailers. Plus, the publisher has confirmed the game’s rumored release date. So, let’s dive in.
PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 2060 or an AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. The game will also use the DX12 API, and it will require 55GB of free disk space.
DICE recommends using an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia RTX 3060Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.
Sadly, the devs did not reveal the framerate, resolution, and graphics settings these PC specs target. Still, they should give you an idea of what PC system you’ll need to run it.
It’s also worth noting that BF6 will require an EA account, even on Steam. It will also use Kernel Level Anti-Cheat. From what I can see on the Steam page, there is no mention of Denuvo. My guess is that EA will list it at a later date. After all, the previous BF games also used it.
Battlefield 6 will be powered by the Frostbite Engine. So, it will be interesting to see whether it will support any Ray Tracing on PC. Let’s not forget that Battlefield 5 was one of the first games that NVIDIA used to show off RT. In theory, we should at least get support for AMD FSR 3.0 and NVIDIA DLSS 4.
The three new trailers for BF6 are focused on its multiplayer mode. In them, we get to see some of the game’s classes, maps and modes.
From what we know, in early August, we’ll have the first beta phase for BF6. This will be a Closed Beta. Then, at a later date, we’ll have an Open Beta.
EA will release Battlefield 6 on October 10.
