CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE: Infinity Ward Confirms Work On 3v3 Gunfight Mode
In the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare community update of the year, Infinity War had an exciting announcement to make: Gunfight 3v3 is coming. The developer didn't say when the variant of the popular game mode would be available, only that they are working on it.

Gunfight began as a 2v2 game mode as part of the Modern Warfare multiplayer suite, but a Gunfight 1v1 playlist was added this week. In December, the studio hinted that a 3v3 version could come as well, and now we have official confirmation.

In other news, the developer said they'll be adding more loadout slots — an increased from the current limit of five — in the coming weeks. They also have plans to bring back tournaments once they've "squashed a few bugs and added in new rewards."

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launched in October of last year and earned over $600 million within its first three days of release. It became the highest-selling game in the franchise for the current console generation.

Activision and Infinity Ward opted to ditch the traditional post-launch plans for the franchise and opted to instead deliver free content in the form of seasons. While maps, modes, and weapons are free, ther eis an optional Battle Pass available for purchase as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
