EA has announced that EA SPORTS FC 26 will be released on PC on September 26th. To celebrate this announcement, the publisher shared its first details, a gameplay trailer, and its official PC system requirements.
EA SPORTS FC 26 is designed to let you play the way you want, thanks to big changes based on what players have asked for. The game will have two gameplay modes: Authentic and Competitive. Authentic Mode gives you the most realistic football experience. This will be the ideal setting for Career Mode. Competitive Mode is all about fast and smooth gameplay. It’s great for Ultimate Team and Clubs, with better controls and quicker responses.
The game will also bring a brand-new way to play Manager Career with Manager Live Challenges. You can take on real-world situations and fun “what if” stories. These challenges can last just a few minutes or go on for many seasons. As you complete them, you’ll earn rewards during the new season.
To run it, PC gamers will at least need an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5 6600K with 8GB of RAM and an AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti. The game will require 100GB of free disk space, and it will use the DX12 API. The devs recommend an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7 6700 with 12GB of RAM and an AMD RX 5600 XT or Nvidia GTX 1660.
As you will see, these are the exact same PC specs that EA SPORTS FC 25 had. So, don’t expect it to look better. This is quite obvious from the following trailer. EA SPORTS FC 26 looks almost exactly like its predecessor. That’s kind of a bummer, but hey. It is what it is. I guess we’ll have to wait for PS6 to get a graphical upgrade.
Now, while the graphics look similar, I have to say that the gameplay trailer appeared to have fluid animations. To its credit, EA SPORTS FC 26’s trailer leaves a positive impression. I just hope that the game won’t have those awful scripted events that the series is known for. If the devs manage to tone them down, this will be a great soccer game.
Finally, EA SPORTS FC 26 will let players buy extra in-game items using virtual money. Some of these items will be random. So yes, expect numerous MTX. To play the game, you’ll need an EA account and the EA app, even on Steam. Also, the game will use Denuvo.
