Here are the first details for Battlefield 6’s single-player campaign

It appears that the first details for the single-player campaign for the new BF game, Battlefield 6, may have leaked online. These details were datamined from the latest BF Labs client. Still, since this is a leak, I suggest taking everything you’ll read with a grain of salt. With this out of the way, let’s dive in.

From what I can see, these first details appear to be from one mission. In other words, we don’t have info about the whole campaign. Still, this is something that may interest our BF6 fans.

So, in one mission, the Pax Armata forces have invaded Gibraltar. Your objective will be to take back the Rock from enemy forces attempting to seize this strategic location. Players will be part of the Dagger 1-3 team. Dagger 1-3 will be deployed to support NATO and British forces, including a British unit named Lancer.

You will land alongside Bravo Element to establish a beachhead. Then, you’ll have to destroy floating mines to ensure all allied AAVs can safely reach the Gibraltar shoreline. You’ll advance by accessing Gibraltar’s historic Great Siege Tunnels through a path beneath street level. And, finally, you will neutralize anti-air (AA) batteries by disabling their datalinks, allowing NATO air support to proceed.

Since this info was datamined from the BF Labs client, it seems to be credible. As I said, though, you should take everything you read with a grain of salt.

I just hope the SP campaign will be better than what we got in the latest COD titles. Let’s also not forget that Battlefield 2042 did not have a campaign. And, honestly, one of the reasons a lot of people still love BF3 is due to its campaign. So, here is hoping that DICE won’t drop the ball.

From what we’ve seen so far, Battlefield 6 seems to be closer to the atmosphere and art style of BF3. In other words, we are looking at a modern-day BF game. It won’t be a WWI, WWII, or futuristic shooter. Again, this is something that will please a lot of BF fans, as everyone has a soft spot for Battlefield 3. And, after what happened with BF2042, I’m certain a lot of people want to go back to the glorious days of BF.

Initially, I thought that EA would announce this new BF in June. That did not happen though. So, we’re most likely looking at a Gamescom 2025 reveal. If this does happen, we might also get an Open Beta in August. Or at least that’s my assumption. As for when the game will come out? From what we know, this new BF game targets a late 2025 or early 2026 release. So, chances are we may not be able to play it this year, which is fine by me. A lot of the previous BF games launched with major issues. So, let DICE cook.

So far, I really like the direction of BF6. Sadly, all the previous leaked gameplay videos have been taken down. This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Still, I liked almost everything I saw in them.

The destruction in the online modes looks awesome. So, I really hope DICE makes it even better in the campaign. They should dial it to eleven. If they do, this could turn out to be a really great campaign.

Stay tuned for more!

Thanks MP1st
