Humble Indie Bundle 4 Crosses $2.2 Million Sales

Newsbrief: Humble Indie Bundle 4, the pay-what-you-want promotion for independent games, has brought in sales of more than $2.2 million after selling some 417,000 bundles at an average of $5.36. The collection includes popular indie PC releases like Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank and NightSky HD -- as well as Cave Story+, Gratuitous Space Battles, and five titles from Humble Indie Bundle 3 for those who pay over the average that previous buyers have spent. Bundle purchasers are invited to choose how their payment is distributed between the games' developers, Humble Indie Bundle's organizers, and the two participating charities: American Red Cross and Child's Play (devoted to donating games/toys to children's hospitals). The previous Humble Indie Bundle (not counting game/specific campaigns) sold more than 372,000 bundles and generated over $2.1 million in sales. The current Humble Indie Bundle, which launched two weeks ago, will continue running for one more day.
