SYLOPON has just announced a new horror action platformer that will blend PS2-era visuals with gritty 3D-pixel aesthetics, called IRONY. IRONY will come soon on PC via Steam, and below you can find its debut gameplay trailer.
In IRONY, you play as an inspector sent by a private military company to check out Underdog Corp, an old, ruined research lab known for doing illegal human experiments. Inside, you find test subjects with dangerous robotic limbs—and you lose parts of your own body while fighting them. To stay alive, you take their robotic parts and attach them to yourself. Each new part makes you stronger… but also less human.
Players will use a special weapon made for self-defense. It can change between a powerful gun and a strong baton. You can block enemy attacks if you press the button at the right time, then hit back with strong counterattacks.
The game takes place in a dark sci-fi horror world. It mixes detailed 3D models with old-school pixel art. Players will get great lighting and carefully made environments that give the game a creepy PS2-style look.
Although we don’t have an ETA on when it will come out, the devs shared its PC requirements. According to them, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7 CPU with 400MB of RAM (yup, you read that right) and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.
SYLOPON recommends an Intel Core i7 CPU with 1GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 4060. The game will also require just 1GB of free disk space. So, this could explain its low RAM requirements.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
