The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has revealed the winners of its Children's Awards 2011, including a number of video game awards. The awards, held last night at the London Hilton, celebrate the best of British television, film and video game entertainment aimed at children. The winner of the main video game category was Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, which fended off the likes of Kirby’s Epic Yarn, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Pokemon Black and Pokemon White to take the award. Size Five Games' tongue-in-cheek sex education game Privates took home the 'Learning Secondary' BAFTA, with developer Dan Marhshall commenting, "I can’t thank BAFTA enough for honouring a tiny studio who made a weird little game. It was a great night, and I'm brimming with pride." Elsewhere, the winner of the BAFTA Young Game Designers competition was announced. Three finalists had previously been selected earlier this month, and Nose Dive Studios' Rollin' Scotch won the award. Finally, the BAFTA Kids' Vote, which is voted for by the public, named Just Dance 2 as the public game of choice.
