Photoshop Artist Visualises What The PlayStation 5 Console Would Look Like As A Skyscraper

After a long wait, Sony revealed the PlayStation 5 console design back in June. Though largely accepted, the case proved to be somewhat divisive. The upcoming next-generation console certainly has a unique look. It's sleek and white, very much giving off a futuristic vibe. Some have compared it to an internet router or even a school folder.

Regardless of what you may think of the design, it is comparably tall relative to every other console that has been on the market. Well, a photoshop artist recently took it upon themselves to amp up the height to the max and visualise what Sony's next console will look like as a skyscraper. And, you know what? It doesn't look half bad.

3D artist Danik Mishanin recently shared their concept on Reddit, Artstation, and Behance. Check it out below:

It's a particularly dour day in this fictional world but regardless; Mishanin has done an exceptional job translating the device into a building. The black mid-section has entirely been replaced with reflective windows while everything else remains largely the same — notably, the console's recognisable peaks.

You may also notice that the artist opted to adapt the Digital Edition, as you can tell by the fact that the building doesn't feature a disc drive. The digital-only version of the PlayStation 5 costs only $399 while the standard edition costs $499. Both consoles are set to release in just over a month's time on November 19th.

PlayStation 5 launches on November 19th.
