UK-based racing game studio Eutechnyx has picked up an award at the Red Herring Global 2011 awards, for its achievements in programming software and online game development. The company revealed that it had been chosen as a finalist for the global innovation awards earlier this week, along with Australian developer Epiphany Games. It has now picked up one of the Top 100 Global awards at the show yesterday. The Red Herring awards aim to honor the year's "most audacious and far reaching private technology companies" from around the world. Eutechnyx CEO Brian Jobling said that the event was a great opportunity to show off the developer's upcoming online driving title Auto Club Revolution. "It was a true honour to be able to accept the award on behalf of the entire team at Eutechnyx," he said. "We are always striving to be ahead of the curve, and receiving this award is affirmation that we're leading, rather than merely following, the technological and management trends within our industry." Last month, Eutechnyx received £1.8 million ($2.8 million) from the UK government's regional growth fund to help launch its upcoming Auto Club Revolution and add up to 190 jobs to its current staff of over 180.
