ROCKET LEAGUE: With The Latest Update, Psyonix Reveals That The 'Quick Play' Feature Has Been Brought Back

One of the most surprising announcements Psyonix made this year in regards to their popular SocCar game, was that Rocket League would become a free-to-play title. The announcement was made early in August, and the game was finally made available, completely free of charge, on the 23rd of September.

That's right! In case you've been living under a rock for the past couple of weeks, Rocket League is now available for everybody to download from their preferred online store, giving players the chance to try out this popular, and rather unique football racing game at their leisure.

Just yesterday, Psyonix rolled out update v 1.84 for Rocket League, and they have brought back a feature that was actually removed a bit under a month ago: Quick Play. This feature was removed halfway through September, and fans were very vocal about their disappointment over the decision to remove it.

Interestingly enough, it was actually "based on community feedback" that Psyonix decided to bring back this feature; otherwise, it would've been removed for good. The full list of patch notes can be read through Psyonix's official website for Rocket League, which you can visit by clicking right here.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Rocket League, Quick Play allowed players to quickly search for the last playlist they had previously searched for; making the matching process a breeze, and allowing players to play as soon as they boot up the game.

Rocket League is a high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem with easy-to-understand controls and fluid, physics-driven competition. Rocket League includes casual and competitive Online Matches, a fully-featured offline Season Mode, special “Mutators” that let you change the rules entirely, hockey and basketball-inspired Extra Modes, and more than 500 trillion possible cosmetic customization combinations.

Rocket League is currently available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, macOS, Linux, PC(Steam, Epic).
