Two key members of Sony Computer Entertainment America's executive team, VP of marketing Scott Steinberg and SVP of publisher relations Rob Dyer, have left the company. IndustryGamers reports, and Sony has confirmed, that Steinberg (pictured) has left the company without announcing his future plans. A replacement has not been named. Before joining Sony in 2007, Steinberg served as marketing VP at Sega, and also worked with companies such as Crystal Dynamics, Roxio, and Liquid Audio. Sony confirmed that Dyer has resigned to go work at Zynga, where he will become the company's head of partner publishing. Dyer first joined Sony in 2008 and previously worked as president of Eidos and later of Crystal Dynamics. Like Steinberg, Sony has yet to announce Dyer's replacement. Gamasutra spoke to Dyer about his role at the company last year -- at which time he was optimistic about the company's prospects with the PlayStation 3. Earlier this year, Sony lost another executive when SVP of marketing Peter Dille left the company to join social app and game monetization company Tapjoy. In October, Sony announced that Guy Longworth would step in to fill Dille's position. Longworth previously worked as a marketing executive for the food industry, working for companies like Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods, and Kellog's.
