Sudden Strike 5 officially announced, coming to PC in 2026

Kalypso Media has just announced the next game in the Sudden Strike series, called Sudden Strike 5. The game will be coming to PC in 2026. So, here are the first official details about it. Plus, you can find its announcement trailer.

Sudden Strike 5 is a real-time strategy game set during World War II. You’ll take part in huge battles across Europe and North Africa, with 25 missions to complete. The game will give you lots of choices, with over 300 different units to control.

Players will be able to win battles in many ways. For instance, they can capture key locations to call in reinforcements or destroy bridges to block enemy paths.

To succeed, you’ll need to think fast, plan smart, and manage your supplies carefully. Being in the right place at the right time can help you change the course of a battle.

Players will be able to command over 300 authentic units. These include more than 190 vehicles and 110 infantry units. So, you will be able to get your hands on the Sherman tank for the Western Allies, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 for the German troops, and the T-34 for the Soviet troops.

You will also be able to pick a Commander that matches the way you like to play. There will be offensive, defensive, and tactical styles to choose from. Each Commander has special skills that can help you win battles. For example, some can use smoke grenades to hide their troops, while others can make their artillery more accurate. Your choice can make a big difference in how the battle goes.

The game will also come with extended camera options. As such, you will be able to zoom out for full strategic oversight or zoom in for a closer look at the frontline action. These options will give you better control over every aspect of the battlefield.
