SUPER MARIO 64: Modder Has Successfully Managed To Run Split-Screen Mode On A Nintendo 64
As someone who got the chance to grow up with a Nintendo 64 at home, a split-screen mode for Super Mario 64 is something that 13-year-old me would've loved to have; don't even get me started on Luigi and Yoshi not even being playable.

There were a bunch of titles that allowed for some sort of split-screen mode, but these were usually competitive rather than co-operative modes; with titles like Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64 immediately coming to mind. This was mainly due to the Nintendo 64 not being powerful enough to run a co-operative mode; but was it really that underpowered?

A modder has recently proved that the Nintendo 64 is very much capable of running Super Mario 64 in co-operative mode in split-screen. Now, according to YouTube user Kaze Emanuar — the mod's creator — this mode isn't perfect, as the framerate can be a little bit choppy; other than that, it is perfectly playable.
