We have some exciting news for fans of Super Smash Bros., Nintendo's insanely popular crossover fighting game series, as the developer has announced that a livestream hosted by series creator Masahiro Sakurai will be streamed this Thursday.
As per the announcement, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation will be roughly 35 minutes long, and will introduce us to the fifth, and final character part of the game's Fighters Pass — which has already seen Persona 5's Joker, Dragon Quest's The Hero, Banjo-Kazooie's Banjo and Kazooie, and Fatal Fury's Terry Bogard joining the roster.
The presentation will be livestreamed on Thursday the 16th of January at 6:00 AM Pacific Time / 9:00 AM Eastern Time / 2:00 PM UK Time, and Masahiro Sakurai himself will be showing off this new challenger in the same way he's introduced players to every single one of the new fighters that have joined the roster as part of the Fighter Pass.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's official website reveals that all five Challenger Packs will become available at some point in February so, unlike previous fighter presentations, it is very unlikely that this new challenger will be releasing right after Masahiro Sakurai's livestream.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is currently available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
