THE OUTER WORLDS Game Directors React To A Speedrunner Beating Their Game In Just Twelve Minutes
The Outer Worlds has been out now for just over a month's time. The role-playing game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment as a sort of sibling (or successor) to the Fallout series. Currently, The Outer Worlds is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC — with a Nintendo Switch release planned for early 2020.

Creeperhntr is a speedrunner who currently holds the record for beating The Outer Worlds. They're able to totally best what should be a 20+ hour experience in just 12 minutes. Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky are the directors of The Outer Worlds and Boyarsky specifically also wrote the game's story.

Recently, the co-directors sat down and watched one of Creeperhntr's speedruns. The pair commentate over the rapid gameplay whilst providing insight into their development mentality, being amazed at the speedrunner's ability to race through their game, and scoffing at him totally avoiding the narrative that they put so much work into.
