THE WONDERFUL 101 Lead Composer Reveals Some Very Interesting Details In Recent Interview
One of the things that The Wonderful 101 stands out for — besides it being an all-around phenomenal video game — is its fantastic soundtrack, which gives the game a very heroic tone all throughout. The soundtrack was composed by Hiroshi Yamaguchi, who perfectly captured the essence of heroism with his upbeat tunes.

Yamaguchi's first project ever was actually Capcom's critically acclaimed Okami, and he has worked on quite a bunch of video games ever since — from both entries in the Bayonetta series to Nintendo's Star Fox Zero; all praised for their phenomenal soundtracks.

In a recent interview posted by PlatinumGames' official YouTube channel, Yamaguchi reveals some very interesting details about his time working on The Wonderful 101 — and he even reveals some details about his career as a whole, and how he ended up working for PlatinumGames.

Yamaguchi reveals that The Wonderful 101's memorable main theme was based on a an idea by Hideki Kamiya himself, who suggested him that he drew inspiration from a tokusatsu TV show called Captain Ultra; a show that was composed by Yamaguchi's teacher Isao Tomita.
